And Metro readers can join the celebrations by claiming free cooking lessons from the French gourmet.

Blanc plans to join ‘a massive can-can’ in the piazza at London’s Covent Garden later this month, to mark the opening of Brasserie Blanc outlets.

He is offering cooking lessons to ten competition winners and a guest. To prove themselves worthy however, entrants will have to upload an image of their own attempt at a can-can.

To do this take a snap of your effort and put it on Twitterext, tweeting @metroukext so we can see it in all its glory.

Blanc said: ‘I’m so excited about Brasserie Blanc opening new restaurants in London. We will have eight Brasseries in the capital by the end of the year which is an amazing transformation for our business.’

The competition closes at midnight on Monday, May 28 and the winners will be selected by a panel of judges.

Ts and Cs

There are 10 x prizes to be won. Each prize is for one winner plus a guest to attend a cooking lesson with Raymond Blanc. Travel or overnight accommodation to venue is not included. The competition closes at midnight on May 28 2012. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges whose entry demonstrates the most creative can-can. Usual Metro Promotional Rulesext apply. The Editor's decision is final. The promoter is Metro, 2 Derry Street, London W8 5TT.
