Big4.com, the premier social networking forum for professionals and alumni of Accenture, Andersen, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC, reports that some of Canada’s top Olympic athletes spoke about their excitement and preparation for the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games at a PwC event recently at The Rogers Centre in Toronto as members of Team PwC.
Big4.com reports that Defending Olympic Champion wrestler Carol Huynh and diving sensation Jennifer Abel, coupled with Olympic and World Champion figure skaters Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue and paralympian Matt Hallat for the event held June 12. The athletes met with PwC staff and partners and kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Toronto before the Blue Jays game.
Launched in June 2011, Team PwC is an initiative assisting Canadian athletes in accomplishing their athletic goals through financial sponsorships. Team PwC consists of nine athletes ranging from existing high profile international athletes to those who are still rising through the ranks and honing their athletic skills.
2012 Giro D’Italia champion Ryder Hesjedal commented:
