The online fancy dress retailer FancyDressShack.co.uk announced today they had seen an increased number of sales for queen themed costumes.
FancyDressShack.co.uk, an online retailer of fancy dress costumes, today announced they had received increased sales of Queen themed costumes leading up to and during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
The Diamond Jubilee took place last weekend with many different events. Over the extended bank holiday weekend people all around the country were gathered to celebrate the Queen’s 60th year reigning over the United Kingdom.
People have been excited about the Diamond Jubilee for the entire year. This has sparked patriotism in some, and in others it’s inspired the ideas for many Queen themed events.
There were a lot of people fundraising over the Diamond jubilee weekend. Some had organised truly impressive sporting events like the 100 mile walk around a course in London. There were those few though, who had dressed up in costumes like the Queen or a similar Queen themed costume and charged others a small fee to come to the themed party.
These parties were a real hit with younger people looking for somewhere to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in their own way. There was a lot of money raised by these parties both for a selection of different charities and the Queen Elizabeth diamond Jubilee Trust.

During the course of the Diamond Jubilee there were many customers online purchasing their Queen themed costumes I presume for parties at a later date.”
As 2012 progresses there will be more Queen themed events and more reasons to wear a Queen themed costume, such as the Olympics. The Diamond Jubilee Tour will continue throughout this year as well which will no doubt inspire people to further get into the spirit of the Queen.
