Livos Energy is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of renewable energy sources with a reputation for working considerately and responsibly with local communities.
Leading UK supplier of renewable energy sources and specialists in wind power technology and turbines, Livos Energy will be showcasing its products at Cereals 2012 - a key event for the UK arable industry. The show takes place on Wednesday 13 June and Thursday 14 June at Boothby Graffoe in Lincolnshire.
Livos Energy works considerately and responsibly with local communities to create renewable energy solutions. Specialising in modest onshore wind turbine developments, Livos Energy has a highly-skilled technical team who can ensure these projects, which are often ignored by utilities and major wind farm developers, a greater profile. The company works with its clients, right from initial full-site survey and planning application work through to design and installation and ongoing service and maintenance.
JAMES MADIGAN at Livos Energy explains: “We have established a real niche market for single wind turbines. These bespoke projects make an important contribution to the energy sources’ future as they ensure best use of the wind resources available in the UK. They also provide a way for landowners to diversify their income and ensure that smaller farms remain viable.”
Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into useable source of energy that can be used to power electrical and mechanical devices. A turbine produces electricity around 80-85% of the time; however it generates different outputs depending on the wind speed. Over the course of a year, a turbine will generate about 30% of the theoretical maximum output, often referred to as the turbine’s capacity factor, or load factor.
Unlike other power sources, wind power uses no fuel and emits no air pollution. Currently, the UK generates around 7% of its energy through wind turbines.
Cereals is the leading technical event for the UK arable industry, with over 64ha of stands and live demonstrations, including crop plots, working cultivations, sprays and sprayers, post harvest technology, business area, potatoes and renewables More than 470 suppliers exhibit at the event, while it is visited by around 26,900 people each year. Tickets cost £22 (adult), or £18 (student) and can be purchased online in advance, or on the door.
Livos Energy will be at stand D537 at Cereals 2012.
